Careology Fuels U.S. Growth With Strategic Senior Hires Amid Demand for AI Powered, Digital Cancer Solutions

LONDON, Aug. 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Careology, the leading digital cancer care platform, today announced the appointment of three senior leaders to support the company’s growing presence in the U.S. This expansion reflects Careology’s commitment to scaling its mission of delivering smarter, connected cancer care through AI-powered technology, improved data insights, and seamless patient support — especially as demand increases for accessible cancer solutions in the U.S.

With over 2 million new cancer cases expected to be diagnosed in the U.S. in 2025, and mounting pressure on national healthcare budgets, the need for more proactive, accessible, and connected care is urgent. Building on its success in the U.K., where the company has partnered with the NHS to deliver its clinically-validated, digital cancer care platform to thousands of patients and clinicians, Careology is now scaling in the U.S., where it already has partnerships and deployed with healthcare companies including leading healthcare providers and Evolent, a NYSE-listed company focused on achieving better health outcomes in oncology and other specialties, with about 40 million health plan members on its platform.

To achieve its goal of transforming traditional cancer care in the U.S. by delivering scalable, patient-first digital solutions that empower individuals, optimize clinical workflows, and reduce costs across a fragmented and overstretched healthcare system, Careology is adding three new senior hires to the team: Muhammad Aurangzeb Ahmad, Data Scientist – Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics; Veronica Holt, Product Manager; and Raees Ebrahim, Vice President of Business Development. They join Careology’s existing senior leadership team in the U.S., including Chief Product Officer, Kim Shyu — who has led product development teams at companies like Audi of America, Somos Inc., and Terra Quantum AG — and Director of Clinical Engagement, Rebecca Davis-Suskind, who has worked with organizations including the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and Seattle Children’s.

“These appointments mark an exciting milestone in our journey to transform cancer care,” comments Paul Landau, Founder & CEO of Careology. “Muhammad, Veronica, and Raees not only bring deep domain expertise that will accelerate our U.S. momentum and ensure we continue delivering real value to patients, providers, and payors, but also histories of true human experiences with cancer care that motivates us all to push forward for better patient outcomes. As demand grows for digital-first, patient-centered cancer solutions, we are proud to be leading this transformation.”

A recognized expert in machine learning, Muhammad Aurangzeb Ahmad will drive the development and deployment of AI-powered models that extract actionable insights from healthcare data. Having witnessed the emotional and logistical challenges faced by loved ones during the cancer journey, Muhammad’s experiences have inspired his commitment to easing the burden for patients, caregivers, and their families. This sense of purpose, combined with his technical expertise, is already helping to shape Careology’s AI roadmap as the company pioneers new approaches in cancer care, where his role will focus on building advanced analytics and personalized recommendations that empower clinicians and patients, advancing Careology’s vision for data-driven, high-value cancer care. He was previously a Principal Research and Data Scientist at KenSci, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington Bothell.

Veronica Holt, Product Manager
Veronica Holt joins Careology as Product Manager, where she will play a pivotal role in executing the product strategy for Careology’s digital cancer care solutions. She will manage the roadmap for its comprehensive digital product designed to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies for U.S. healthcare providers and care navigators. Holt brings a wealth of expertise from her time both on the frontlines as a nurse practitioner, and behind the scenes in clinical analytics and healthtech. Her leadership in product development is informed by firsthand experience supporting cancer patients and families, as well as her own personal journey with cancer. Inspired by the loss of her mother to breast cancer, and years caring for patients in inpatient hospice, Holt is committed to developing compassionate, user-centered solutions to help patients and their caregivers throughout the cancer journey.

His leadership will be instrumental in establishing and scaling Careology’s presence in the U.S., ensuring the company’s vision of better care management and improved patient outcomes is realized.
