KoreaAgain.net, a Korea portal for foreigners, has entered into a new collaboration with Tongmyong University to nurture global talent. This partnership not only covers the 100% English-taught global innovation college, Busan International College (BIC) at Tongmyong University, but also extends to the university’s entire academic programs.
At the Tongmyong University campus in Busan, Kweon Joong-rak, Dean, The Office of International Affairs at Tongmyong University, and Danny Han, CEO of DIOKOS Inc., the operator of KoreaAgain, met to discuss new directions for global education.
BIC, led by Dean Byung-Ik Jung, was launched in 2024 with the vision of “Educating The Next Global Innovators,” offering a variety of programs including Global Korean Studies, AI & Computer Engineering, Information System and Security, Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, and Global Business. In 2025, BIC will introduce two new programs—Tech Management and Innovation, and Culture and Design Management—providing students with even more academic options. Situated in the global hub city of Busan, BIC offers an optimal learning environment for international students to lead future global innovations.
KoreaAgain aims to provide exceptional experiences to the 2.5 million foreigners living in Korea, offering a wide range of lifestyle services covering travel, study, employment, and business.
Additionally, Tongmyong University recently ranked 34th globally in the leadership category of the WURI (World University Rankings for Innovation), which evaluates universities based on innovation performance. The university’s focus on experiential and hands-on “Do-ing” education has yielded impressive results. Furthermore, the university’s soccer team made a mark by winning the national championship at the Spring University Football League just two months after its formation.
